Background

I’ve been working as a psychotherapist since 1999, and now run a private practice, seeing clients in Clapham. I’m always happy to hear from potential clients who would like to discuss whether the work I offer is appropriate to their needs. You’re welcome to ring/e-mail me at any time if you have any queries, or we can arrange to have a 10-15 minute conversation over the telephone to explore what you’re looking for.

I offer a wide range of psychotherapy and personal development work, dealing with various issues including anxiety, depression and loss. My particular interest is in issues around identity, self-esteem, isolation and life transitions. I’ve worked in various roles offering assistance to people suffering from difficulty or distress in their lives. I have crisis support experience and before my practice as a psychotherapist, I worked in the legal profession dealing with domestic violence, family and welfare issues.

Outside of psychotherapeutic work, I have a particular interest in workplace problems. I conduct executive coaching and employee support, helping people to address the many pressures they face in the modern workplace. This workplace issues expertise is informed by my legal experience in the commercial sector, which has included work in a city law firm and a large plc. I have also worked as a manger in a large employee assistance programme, providing support and various workplace interventions to employees, their manager and their HR departments. I have also managed large teams of practitioners providing counselling within the NHS. I am a clinical supervisor and associate psychotherapist at The Awareness Centre and a consultant member of The Awareness Centre Organisational Development Team.
