christianmurphy.com
(‘the Site’) is a web site owned and operated
by Christian Murphy (‘Christian’). [Contact]
|
| 2. |
This Privacy Policy (‘the
Policy’) applies to all personal information collected
by Christian from users of the Site (‘Site Users’)
either person-to-person or through the Site. |
| 3. |
|
| 4. |
Christian reserves the right to
change the Policy at any time without notice. Please
refresh this page and read the Policy carefully. Site
users should check this page frequently to ensure they
are aware of any changes to the Policy. |
| 5. |
Any personal information collected
by Christian as described above will only be used in
order to provide psychotherapy, counselling and related
services. |
| 6. |
All such personal information will
remain strictly private and confidential at all times,
and will not be disclosed to any third party without
the written consent of the Site User to whom it relates. |
| 7. |
There are certain extreme situations
where Christian may be required to disclose information
about a Site User to someone else. These are situations
where he judges he has sufficient reason to believe
that:
 |
The Site User’s
or another person’s safety is in significant
danger, or; |
 |
A serious crime is likely
to be committed, or; |
 |
A child, an elderly person,
a disabled person or other vulnerable individual
has been abused, or is in significant danger
of being abused. |
In any of these situations, Christian would:
 |
Take every
appropriate step to discuss the matter with
the Site User. |
 |
Explore with the Site User
what disclosure the Site User or Christian might
want to make to a third party. |
 |
Seek the Site User’s
permission for any disclosure he might make. |
 |
Only reveal the information
that was necessary to protect the Site User
or another person. |
 |
Not reveal all the personal
information the Site User had ever given him. |
 |
Discuss with the Site User
any disclosure, made with or without their consent,
as soon as possible after the disclosure. |
|
| 8. |
There are some legal limits to
confidentiality, such as under the Prevention of Terrorism
Act 1989, and in a court of law, where a therapist may
be required to reveal information about someone to whom
they owe a duty of confidentiality. |
| 9. |
In addition to the personal information
collected as described above, Christian uses technology
to collect anonymous information about the use of the
Site. For example, technology may used to record the
number of visits to the Site, the date and time of each
visit, which pages of the Site are viewed and Site Users’
choice of Web browser. This technology does not identify
Site Users personally; it simply allows the compilation
of statistics about Site Users and their use of the
Site. This information is used to monitor the effectiveness
with which the Site is being promoted, review its technical
specifications and assess its usefulness. |
Site Users who have any questions about this Privacy Policy
should contact Christian.
